SEN Teaching Assistant – KS2 (Year 4/5) – Barnet – Sep Start

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Barnet to recruit a full‑time SEN Teaching Assistant starting in September. The role provides dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil transitioning from Year 4 to Year 5, helping them engage, regulate and progress within the classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 assistance to a child with ADHD, Autism and Global Developmental Delay.
• Implement behaviour strategies and adapt learning activities to meet the pupil’s needs.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher and senior leadership team to ensure consistent support.
• Monitor and record the pupil’s progress and wellbeing throughout the day.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ADHD, Autism or Global Developmental Delay.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient attitude.
• Team‑player with a positive, proactive approach.
• Confident in building strong, consistent relationships with the pupil.
