SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Coach

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Coach to join a specialist school in Gloucester. The role focuses on supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH and other additional needs, helping them engage with learning, build confidence and achieve personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group academic support to students with special educational needs.
• Deliver emotional and pastoral assistance, fostering a safe and structured learning environment.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to plan and implement individualized strategies.
• Travel between school sites as required, ensuring continuity of support.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to staff.

Required profile

• Patient, resilient and passionate about supporting young people.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks and provide references.
• Commitment to the wellbeing of both students and staff.
