SEN Teaching Assistant – Milton Keynes

About the role

Join a dedicated recruitment partner to support children with Special Educational Needs in schools across Milton Keynes. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to remove barriers to learning and help pupils reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs and other learning differences.
• Assist classroom teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the teaching team.
• Promote independence, confidence and social skills in supported learners.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably with SEN experience (not essential).
• Patience, empathy and excellent communication skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and committed to individualized support.
• Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
