SEN Teaching Assistant – Multi‑Site (Leeds)

About the role

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist inclusive learning centre operating across multiple sites in Leeds. This full‑time, term‑time position starts in September 2026 and offers a supportive environment for pupils with severe and complex learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to ensure pupils can access the curriculum and specialised facilities.
• Assist class teachers with behaviour management and maintaining a safe, positive classroom atmosphere.
• Support students with physical mobility, sensory regulation, and personal care throughout the day.
• Monitor and record student progress, promote self‑esteem, and follow safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Adaptable mindset with willingness to work across different school sites.
• Proven experience supporting children with complex needs such as autism, physical disabilities, or severe learning difficulties.
• Calm, patient, and professional approach when handling challenging situations.
• Full eligibility to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal abilities to connect with non‑verbal or communication‑impaired pupils.
