SEN Teaching Assistant – Part‑time (Handsworth)

About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in schools across Handsworth and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible, part‑time assignments ranging from day‑to‑day supply to short‑term and long‑term placements.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1‑to‑1 sessions that promote learning, communication and social development for SEND pupils.
- Collaborate closely with the SENDCO and classroom teacher to implement tailored learning plans.
- Assist with personal care needs when required, providing support with patience and compassion.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting.
- Enhanced DBS check (must be on the update service).
- Relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience in SEND support.
- Willingness to undertake additional training as needed.
