SEN Teaching Assistant – Part‑time (Kingston upon Thames)

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a vibrant three‑form entry primary school in Kingston upon Thames. You will work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping children access the curriculum and make progress academically and socially.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist with learning activities, behaviour management and classroom tasks.
- Support children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain accurate records.
Required profile
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant.
- Experience supporting children with SEND (autism, ADHD, speech/language, SEMH) is desirable.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (within the last year) is desirable.
- GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or equivalent.
- Relevant TA, SEN, childcare or education qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
- Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
Required skills
What we offer
- Part‑time, term‑time only (Monday‑Wednesday, 8:30 am‑3:45 pm).
- Rate of £100‑£115 per day, dependent on experience.
- Start date: September 2026.
