SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Academy (Full‑time)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a large mainstream primary academy in Edgware. The role starts in September 2026 and runs until July 2027, providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with special educational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver tailored 1:1 support and targeted interventions for pupils with autism, ADHD, non‑verbal communication challenges and complex learning difficulties.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCo to implement and review individual support plans.
- Work primarily in the SEN room while also supporting pupils in mainstream classrooms as required.
- Assist with speech and language activities and help newly admitted pupils through assessment processes.
Required profile
- Previous experience working in a SEN environment, preferably with speech and language support.
- Understanding of the needs of EYFS and KS1 pupils.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
