SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Full‑time)

About the role
The school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with ASD and ADHD in a Southwark primary school. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to create a calm, structured learning environment where every child can thrive academically and socially.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with ASD/ADHD during lessons and activities.
- Assist with emotional regulation and implement positive behaviour strategies.
- Deliver consistent, calm support throughout the school day.
- Help with classroom learning and group work in the afternoons.
- Support personal care needs when required.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCO.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children with ASD and ADHD.
- Confidence in managing emotional regulation and behaviour needs.
- Willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passion for inclusive education and SEN support.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive daily rate of £96‑110.
- Full‑time permanent contract, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑4:00 pm.
