SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Gravesend)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Gravesend, Kent. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm, supporting pupils with ADHD and autism across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs, especially ADHD and autism.
• Work with small intervention groups as well as larger classroom settings.
• Support learners across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual support strategies.
• Promote an inclusive, positive and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ADHD and autism.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Confidence working across KS1 and KS2.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to helping every child thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
