SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Milton Keynes)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Milton Keynes from September. You will work closely with pupils who have additional needs, helping them access the curriculum, build confidence and develop socially and emotionally.

Key responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with ASD and other additional learning needs.
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom preparation.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence.
• Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and academic development.
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
• Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
