SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Rochester)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Rochester. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, supporting pupils with additional needs, particularly those with ADHD and Autism, across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Key responsibilities
- Provide tailored one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist whole‑class activities, adapting resources to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to develop and implement personalised support strategies.
- Monitor progress and contribute to pupils’ individual education plans.
- Promote an inclusive, positive and engaging learning environment.
Required profile
- Proven experience supporting children with SEN, especially ADHD and Autism.
- Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
- Confidence working across KS1 and KS2.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to helping every child thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
