SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Southall)

About the role
This full‑time, long‑term position is based in a supportive primary school in Southall. You will work closely with pupils who have additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and make meaningful progress.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
- Deliver targeted interventions to support literacy, numeracy and communication.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to implement support strategies.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in lessons.
- Monitor pupil progress and give feedback to staff.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a UK primary school.
- Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Confidence working 1:1 and with small groups.
- Proactive, reliable attitude and full‑time availability.
- Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience.
