SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Leeds)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary‑school pupils with special educational needs in Leeds. You will work alongside teachers to create an inclusive learning environment and help students achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Assist class teachers in preparing the classroom for each session.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students with special needs.
• Help teachers with planning and record‑keeping for SEN pupils.
• Support behaviour management and promote positive classroom dynamics.

Required profile

• Patient and empathetic nature.
• Strong ability to build relationships with students and staff.
• Thorough understanding of safeguarding in a school setting.
• Prior experience working with special‑needs students.

Required skills

• Current Enhanced DBS certificate.
