About the role
We are partnering with a specialist secondary school in Hassocks to provide dedicated support for students with autism. The setting is calm, well‑resourced and focused on developing independence, confidence and life‑skills.
Key responsibilities
- Support secondary‑aged learners with autism on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist with both academic tasks and daily life‑skill development.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and on‑site therapy professionals.
- Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment.
Required profile
- Passion for special educational needs (SEN) teaching.
- Willingness to undergo pre‑employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, specialist team.
