SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Ealing)

About the role

A welcoming secondary school in Ealing is seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join its team from September 2026. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to help pupils with additional needs overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and small‑group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Assist students to access classroom learning and participate in activities, adapting approaches as required.
• Work closely with teaching staff to reinforce learning objectives and maintain a structured, positive environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
• Understanding of different additional learning needs and barriers to education.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach with strong communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one and right to work in the UK.
