SEN Teaching Assistant – September Start (Full‑time, Temp‑to‑Perm)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to start in September 2026 across Bournemouth and surrounding schools. You will work full‑time supporting children with additional needs, behavioural challenges, or barriers to learning in a variety of SEN and Alternative Provision settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised SEN support to children with diverse needs.
• Assist with creative, therapeutic and inclusive activities.
• Promote safety, emotional well‑being and positive engagement.
• Support daily routines, emotional regulation and independence.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• References covering the last 24 months, preferably involving children or vulnerable individuals.
• Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education or related field, or relevant experience.
