About the role
We are a special school in Islington supporting pupils with profound learning difficulties and autism. We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants for long‑term roles that may lead to permanent positions.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils aged 5‑16 in whole‑class settings and provide one‑to‑one assistance where needed.
- Assist children with profound learning difficulties (PMLD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Help manage challenging behaviour and create a supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Good knowledge and understanding of autism is desirable, though a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
- Ability to work flexibly across a range of ages and needs, including 1:1 and group settings.
- Enthusiastic, passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.
