About the role
We are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a community‑focused primary school in Bury. The role starts in September 2026 and involves supporting pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) on a full‑time, long‑term basis.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver targeted speech and language interventions in line with specialist recommendations.
- Support pupils during whole‑class lessons and small‑group activities.
- Reinforce communication strategies and promote positive social interaction.
- Monitor individual progress and contribute to pupil review meetings.
Required profile
- Experience working with children who have speech and language needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to adapt learning activities to individual requirements.
- Patient, encouraging attitude; primary‑school experience preferred.
