About the role
We are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work with students who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The role involves supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, social, emotional and mental health needs, and behavioural challenges in a Birmingham school setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day assistance to students with ASC and SEMH needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support emotional wellbeing.
- Collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to deliver accessible learning experiences.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASC, SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Patient, resilient and empathetic attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to making a positive difference in young people’s lives.
