SEN Teaching Assistant – Support ASD & MLD Students

About the role
We are seeking caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join specialist and mainstream settings in Enfield. You will work directly with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), helping them access the curriculum and develop independence.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils.
- Assist with communication, social skills and emotional regulation.
- Implement individual education and support plans.
- Support sensory needs and behaviour strategies.
- Deliver personal care such as toileting, dressing and feeding when required.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and other support professionals.
Required profile
- Calm, patient and resilient attitude.
- Willingness to provide personal care.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Genuine passion for inclusive education.
Required skills
- Experience working with children or young people with ASD and/or MLD (desirable, not essential).
