SEN Teaching Assistant – Support Children with Additional Needs

About the role
We are seeking compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools across West and South West London. You will work with pupils aged 4‑19 who have a range of additional needs, helping them achieve their educational and personal goals.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Assist with learning activities tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to ensure each pupil reaches their potential.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in education, care or youth settings.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, resilient and proactive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and develop within SEND education.
