SEN Teaching Assistant – Support Children with Special Needs

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment in Plymouth. You will work closely with children who have special educational needs, helping them achieve academic and personal milestones.
Key responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to SEN students within the classroom.
- Assist with academic tasks, behaviour management and personal development activities.
- Work one‑on‑one or in small groups to ensure each child receives the help they need.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement effective learning strategies.
Required profile
- Passion for supporting young people with special needs.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for travel between sites.
- Patient, nurturing attitude and willingness to learn.
