About the role
We are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment in Plymouth. You will help pupils with additional needs thrive by providing tailored assistance and fostering inclusive learning.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one‑to‑one and group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist teachers in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Promote inclusive classroom practices that address diverse learning requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support students' academic and social progress.
- Use effective communication techniques to enhance student engagement and understanding.
Required profile
- Experience or a strong willingness to work with children who have SEN.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
