SEN Teaching Assistant – Temp to Perm, £120/day, Immediate Start

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support secondary‑aged students with autism in a specialist school in Hassocks. You will work both one‑to‑one and in small groups, helping learners develop academic knowledge and essential life skills within a calm, structured environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to students with autism, both individually and in small groups.
• Assist with academic tasks and the development of independence, confidence, and life‑skills.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, on‑site therapy professionals, and support staff.
• Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment.

Required profile

• Passion for special educational needs (SEN) and a desire to make a real impact.
• Willingness to work in a specialist, calm, and well‑resourced setting.
• Ability to undergo pre‑employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS.
