SEN Teaching Assistant – Term Time Only

About the role

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a vibrant school environment. You will work closely with teachers, parents and external professionals to promote inclusive learning and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties during lessons, break times and school activities.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver personalised learning activities and resources.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development of each pupil.
• Support behaviour management following school protocols and individual care plans.
• Prepare learning materials and monitor pupil progress.
• Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents/carers and other professionals.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, caring and flexible attitude.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above.
• Right to work in the UK indefinitely.
