SEN Teaching Assistant (Year 1, 1:1) – Redbridge, London

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a Year 1 pupil with additional needs in a warm, inclusive primary school in Redbridge, London. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a long‑term, full‑time placement.

Key responsibilities

• Support the learning, development and well‑being of a Year 1 child with special educational needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
• Create an encouraging, inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.
• Assist with daily routines, classroom activities and individualized learning plans.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

Required profile

• Compassionate, motivated and proactive attitude.
• Patience and enthusiasm for working with young children.
• Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with the pupil.
• Open to recent graduates as well as candidates with relevant experience.
