SEN Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time & Contract Roles

About the role

We are expanding our team of dedicated SEN Tutors across Croydon and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering personalised one‑to‑one tuition to children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them re‑engage with learning, build confidence and achieve their educational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, tailored one‑to‑one tuition sessions.
• Assess learner needs and create individualized learning plans.
• Support progress towards EHCP outcomes and set educational targets.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with learners, families and schools.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit each learner’s profile.
• Record progress, provide regular feedback and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Experience as a SEN Tutor, qualified teacher (QTS/PGCE), SENCO or specialist intervention practitioner.
• Familiarity with a range of additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, dyscalculia, speech and language difficulties, anxiety‑related barriers and school avoidance.
• Ability to work flexibly around your own schedule and manage multiple learners.
