SEN Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time Role in Liverpool

About the role

Randstad Student Support is partnering with schools across the North West to provide specialist SEN tutoring. You will work one‑to‑one or in small groups, both face‑to‑face and online, delivering personalised lessons that follow each pupil’s EHCP plan.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 or small‑group (up to 1:6) tuition tailored to individual learning styles.
• Design lesson plans that align with EHCP objectives and student interests.
• Track progress and record attainment using the internal reporting system.
• Collaborate with schools, foster carers and social workers to ensure holistic support.
• Adhere to KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or NQT, Teaching Assistant (Level 1‑3), HLTA, or recent graduate.
• Minimum six months experience working with SEN pupils, disengaged youth or alternative provision.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience and empathy.
• Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Strong IT competency with reliable laptop/computer and broadband for online sessions.
• Clear, inspirational communication style that motivates students.
