SEN Tutor – Flexible Part‑time Role in Warrington

About the role

Randstad Student Support is looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor to work with pupils in Warrington and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering one‑to‑one or small‑group tuition, both face‑to‑face and online, following each child’s EHCP plan. You will help students build core knowledge while boosting confidence and self‑esteem.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 or small‑group sessions (up to 1:6) tailored to individual learning styles.
• Create lesson plans aligned with EHCP objectives and students’ interests.
• Monitor progress, record attainment and report via the internal system.
• Collaborate with schools, foster carers and social workers to provide a holistic support network.
• Adhere to KCSIE safeguarding guidelines at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or NQT, Teaching Assistant (Level 1‑3), HLTA or recent graduate.
• Minimum six months experience working with SEN pupils, disengaged youth or alternative provision.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience and empathy.
• Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication style that motivates learners.

Required skills

• Basic IT competency – access to a laptop/computer and stable broadband for online sessions.
