SEN Tutor – One-to-One GCSE Maths & English (Part‑time)

About the role
We are looking for a qualified teacher to provide one‑to‑one GCSE Maths and English tuition for SEN learners in Trafford. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a flexible part‑time schedule of up to 20 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised one‑to‑one tuition in Maths and English for students with SEN.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual emotional, social and academic needs.
- Support learners in developing core subject knowledge, study skills and exam confidence.
- Create a safe, consistent and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to parents, carers or professionals.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
- Experience working with SEN students in one‑to‑one or small‑group settings.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
