SEND Class Teacher – Special School

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SEND Class Teacher to join a dedicated special school team in Solihull. You will work with a small group of pupils, adapting lessons to meet a wide range of additional needs and celebrating every achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with autism, moderate learning difficulties and communication needs.
• Create a calm, structured and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support pupils in developing communication, independence and confidence.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and specialist professionals to plan personalised learning programmes.
• Assess progress, record outcomes and contribute to EHCP targets.
• Build strong partnerships with families and external agencies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Genuine passion for working with children with SEND.
• Strong classroom practice and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and engage learners.
• Flexible and creative approach to teaching.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
