SEND Cover Supervisor – Support SEN Students

About the role
We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable SEND Cover Supervisor to provide continuity of learning for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when regular teachers are absent. This role is based in a well‑established SEN secondary school in Runcorn, North West England, and offers the chance to make a positive impact in an inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans and instructions prepared by teaching staff to ensure seamless learning.
- Supervise the classroom, maintaining a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
- Provide emotional and behavioural support to SEN students.
- Assist with classroom and behaviour management, ensuring adherence to school policies.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet individual student needs.
Required profile
- Patient, compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in SEN education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work across different classroom settings.
- Prior experience with SEN students is advantageous but not essential.
