SEND EHCP Officer – Remote (3+ months)

About the role
The SEND EHCP Officer will lead the end‑to‑end Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process for children and young people, working remotely for a specialist recruitment agency. This is a fixed‑term contract of at least three months, offering the chance to collaborate with local authority teams and partner agencies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full EHCP lifecycle, from initial assessment and plan writing through reviews, amendments and reassessments.
- Co‑produce high‑quality, person‑centred plans with children, families and partner agencies, ensuring clarity, compliance and outcome focus.
- Work closely with SENCOs, education, health and care professionals to monitor provision, respond to emerging needs and meet statutory timescales.
- Maintain accurate digital records and use monitoring systems to track provision and support service‑improvement activities aligned with the SEND Improvement Plan.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) role within a local authority.
- Demonstrated ability to produce compliant EHCP documentation and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of statutory deadlines and SEND legislation.
