SEND English Teacher – SEMH Provision (Full‑Time)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate SEND English Teacher to join a specialist SEMH provision in Wisbech. The role involves delivering high‑quality English instruction to pupils aged 10‑17 who have experienced disruption in mainstream education. You will work in a calm rural setting, helping young people rebuild confidence and re‑engage with learning.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Plan and teach lessons for small groups and one‑to‑one sessions.
- Prepare teaching materials, maintain accurate records and registers.
- Monitor progress, assess learning and produce detailed reports.
- Promote positive behaviour using a trauma‑informed approach and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Minimum two years’ experience in a SEND, alternative provision or similar specialist setting.
- Genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEMH and SEND needs.
- Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building skills.
- Resilient, creative and child‑centred approach.
Required skills
- Experience teaching English.
