SEND Group Leader – Part‑time (Reigate)

About the role

The SEND Group Leader will oversee the delivery of sessions for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs at our West Sussex clubs. This part‑time position involves ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care, safety, and positive development for participants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of children and young people’s services, maintaining safe and appropriate provision.
• Act as the responsible person when the coordinator is unavailable and provide annual leave cover.
• Lead, coach, and supervise a team of Disability Play & Youth Workers and volunteers.
• Prepare session plans, allocate staff, and maintain daily logs and rotas.
• Organise and oversee trips, ensuring compliance with risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
• Provide personal care while respecting hygiene, privacy, and dignity.
• Receive, record, store, and, where trained, administer medication safely.
• Support eating, drinking, and mobility needs according to individual care plans.

Required profile

• First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain it.
• Introduction to Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults training or willingness to undertake.
• Child Care/Youth Work Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or working towards).
• Experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
