About the role
We are seeking an experienced SEND Inclusion Lead to join a supportive school in East London from September 2026. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, personalised support for pupils with special educational needs and embedding inclusive practice across the school.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school.
- Identify pupils with additional needs and put appropriate support in place.
- Work with teachers to differentiate lessons and learning activities.
- Monitor progress, attainment and development of pupils with SEND.
- Develop, implement and review individual support plans and interventions.
- Support the implementation of EHCP outcomes.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and senior leadership to shape the school’s SEND strategy.
- Provide advice and practical strategies to teachers and support staff.
- Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals such as educational psychologists, speech‑language therapists and occupational therapists.
- Maintain accurate SEND records and contribute to annual reviews and whole‑school improvement planning.
Required profile
- Proven experience in SEND or special educational needs within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCP processes and inclusive pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, families and external agencies.
- Ability to lead change and promote a culture of inclusion.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEND assessment and monitoring tools.
- Experience developing individual support plans.
- Familiarity with multi‑disciplinary working with specialist professionals.
What we offer
- Full‑time, 1‑year fixed‑term contract (term‑time only).
- Salary between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum.
