SEND Lecturer – Recruitment Event (Harrow)

About the role

Reed Further Education is seeking experienced SEND Lecturers to deliver inclusive lessons to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Harrow. The role starts in September following a recruitment event on 9 July and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to SEND learners.
• Plan, prepare and adapt teaching materials to meet individual needs.
• Support academic, social and personal development of learners.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college and awarding body requirements.
• Collaborate with support staff, SEN teams and curriculum colleagues.
• Promote a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Full right to work in the UK.
• No sponsored, Skilled Worker or Student Worker visa.
• Proven experience teaching learners with SEND.
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education practices.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate £35+ (inclusive of holiday pay).
• Typical day 08:30‑16:30, approx. 7 hours.
• Minimum four days per week, flexible pattern.
• Paid induction day and ongoing professional support.
