SEND Specialist Tutor (Part‑time) – Surrey

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking inspirational SEND specialists to work with children and young people across Surrey who have become disengaged from mainstream education. The role involves delivering one‑to‑one, tailored lessons during school hours to re‑engage pupils, provide structure, and support their return to school.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 lessons that address individual learning gaps.
- Monitor pupil progress and submit weekly reports to the agency.
- Collaborate with families to schedule sessions that suit their needs.
- Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Current right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional child‑related references.
Required skills
- Experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils.
- Creative, patient approach with ability to think outside the box.
