SEND Teacher – Primary & Secondary – Southwark

About the role
We are seeking a qualified SEND Teacher to join a complex‑needs school in Peckham, Southwark, starting in September. The role involves delivering creative visual and sensory lessons for up to 100 pupils across primary and secondary phases, many of whom have high medical needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging visual and sensory lessons tailored to pupils with complex needs.
- Work with small class groups (maximum six pupils) supported by three SEND Teaching Assistants.
- Collaborate with the school’s multidisciplinary team to support pupils’ EHC plans and medical requirements.
- Develop and adapt curriculum to meet individual pupil goals.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience working in SEND settings.
- Current child and adult DBS clearance.
- Full‑time availability.
- Willingness to work on‑site in Peckham, Southwark.
