SEND Teacher – PSHE Focus (Full‑time)

About the role

The school is a specialist SEND setting operating across two rural sites near Taunton, Somerset. They are looking for a passionate SEND Teacher with a PSHE focus to deliver inclusive, high‑quality teaching for pupils with complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PSHE‑focused lessons tailored to diverse learning styles.
• Develop personalised learning pathways to support individual pupil progress.
• Encourage independent learning and research skills.
• Provide targeted one‑to‑one or small‑group support as required.
• Prepare and manage teaching resources and materials effectively.
• Promote safe use and care of equipment and learning environments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SEND setting or similar provision.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Resilient, patient and committed to making a difference.
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
