About the role

The school is a specialist SEND setting operating across two rural sites near Taunton, offering a calm, nurturing environment for pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. As a SEND Teacher with a PSHE focus, you will deliver high‑quality, inclusive lessons that support both academic progress and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PSHE lessons tailored to a wide range of learning styles.
• Develop personalised learning pathways and support independent research.
• Provide targeted one‑to‑one or small‑group support as required.
• Prepare and manage teaching resources and ensure safe use of equipment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – essential.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SEND setting or similar provision.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Resilient, patient and committed to making a difference.
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
