SEND Teacher – Special Educational Needs (East London)

About the role
Reed Further Education is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join a college in East London. The role involves delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with complex special educational needs, supporting their progress towards EHCP outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of SEND pupils.
- Develop and implement learning activities linked to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) goals.
- Collaborate with therapists, support staff and multidisciplinary teams to provide a holistic learning experience.
- Monitor pupil progress, contribute to annual reviews and adjust provision as required.
- Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing through positive reinforcement and effective behaviour management.
Required profile
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working within SEMH in an SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.
