SEND Teacher – Special Educational Needs

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our team in Greenwich. You will work directly with pupils who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, delivering inclusive lessons that support their academic and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons tailored to the needs of SEND students, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
• Implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs), adapting teaching methods as required.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and external professionals to provide holistic support.
• Assess and record student progress, adjusting strategies to promote learning outcomes.
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience teaching SEND students in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of the educational and developmental needs of children with disabilities.
• Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, parents and agencies.
• Patience, resilience and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
