SEND Teacher – Support Learners 16-25 in Further Education

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to support learners aged 16‑25 in further education settings across Croydon and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering inclusive, high‑quality lessons tailored to a range of special educational needs, helping young adults achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students with a range of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD and learning difficulties.
• Collaborate with support staff, parents/carers and external agencies as required.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, QTS or equivalent).
• Experience working with SEND learners aged 16‑25.
• Enhanced DBS covering both adult and children’s workforce (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner welfare.
