SEND Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support in Lambeth Primary Schools

About the role

We are looking for compassionate SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work in inclusive mainstream primary schools across Lambeth. You will provide personalised support to pupils with additional needs, helping them thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one tailored assistance to an assigned pupil each day.
• Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, SEMH and other SEND profiles.
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets and support plans.
• Adapt learning resources to suit individual needs and promote inclusive participation.

Required profile

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 desirable).
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in SEND or inclusion.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability Monday‑Friday (part‑time roles still require weekday presence).
