SEND Teaching Assistant (Full‑time, Meldreth)

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a specialist SEN school in Meldreth to recruit a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant. You will work full‑time (40 hours/week, term‑time only) supporting children and young people aged 6‑19 with a wide range of learning and medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, consistent support to students with PMLD, autism, ADHD, sensory and physical impairments, and complex medical conditions.
• Assist in delivering a personalised, learner‑centred curriculum across classroom and community settings.
• Promote equality, respect, emotional resilience, communication and independence.
• Contribute to therapeutic and multi‑disciplinary approaches, including physical intervention and personal care when required.
• Support transitions, manage sensory overload and help students navigate anxiety‑related behaviours.

• Willingness to pursue formal qualifications with fully funded training.
