About the role
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist unit within a Primary SEMH School/PRU in Salford. You will support autistic children with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them engage positively in learning.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning experiences for children with autism.
- Support the development of social, emotional and communication skills in a structured setting.
- Contribute to planning and delivering interventions that meet individual needs.
Required profile
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Team Teach training and confidence in using positive behaviour strategies.
- Experience working with children with autism and SEMH needs, preferably in a SEMH school, PRU or care environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Team Teach methodology.
