About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in schools across Sussex. You will join a supportive network provided by Reed Education, helping create an inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist pupils with SEN in daily classroom activities and learning tasks.
- Work closely with teachers to adapt resources and deliver differentiated instruction.
- Collaborate with parents and external professionals to support each child’s individual education plan.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in an educational setting.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, CACHE, a degree or equivalent in SEN support or education.
- Compassionate, patient and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with staff, families and specialists.
