About the role
This full‑time position supports pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across all year groups in a welcoming primary school in Greenwich. You will work alongside teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised 1:1 assistance during school hours.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with autism, moderate learning difficulties, and social‑emotional or behavioural needs.
- Deliver targeted interventions to aid learning and development.
- Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and engagement in the classroom.
- Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to plan and implement effective support strategies.
- Assist in preparing learning activities and resources.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
- Patience, empathy and strong communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
- Commitment to inclusive education and helping every child succeed.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant is desirable but not essential.
