SEND Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Role in Bromley (BR2)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the BR2 area of Bromley on a long‑term, full‑time basis. The role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them achieve academic, social and emotional progress.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
• Implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
• Support students’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Promote a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.
• Encourage independence and confidence in pupils.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school or SEND setting.
• Patient, caring and resilient attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

• No specific technical skills required.
